O Museu do Abade de Baçal inaugura, no próximo dia 13 de junho, às 17h00, a exposição Face a Face – Rita Magalhães e a Natureza-Morta na Coleção do MNSR.
A exposição coloca em diálogo as fotografias de Rita Magalhães com obras de natureza-morta da coleção do Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis, estabelecendo uma continuidade entre diferentes épocas e autores.
Do legado das escolas flamenga, holandesa e italiana dos séculos XVII e XVIII ao realismo e naturalismo portugueses do século XIX, o percurso expositivo convida a revisitar a natureza-morta e a sua permanência na criação artística contemporânea.

The Museu do Abade de Baçal will open, on 13th June at 5.00 p.m., the exhibition Face to Face – Rita Magalhães and Still Life in the MNSR Collection.
The exhibition places Rita Magalhães’ photographs in dialogue with still-life paintings from the collection of the National Museum Soares dos Reis, establishing a continuity between different periods and artists.
From the legacy of the Flemish, Dutch, and Italian schools of the 17th and 18th centuries to Portuguese Realism and Naturalism of the 19th century, the exhibition invites visitors to revisit still life and its enduring presence in contemporary artistic creation.
